100 Most Inspiring Films of All Time

100 Most Inspiring Films of All Time

I need to go watch some movies! I'm a bit upset that Jerry Seinfeld' s "Comedian" was left off the list. Maybe some day I will follow in the foot steps of BillyV and write a review of the film. However, the important people who voted on this list got it right with "It's a Wonderful Life." I also am intrigued by any list that has "Schlindlers List" and "Breaking Away" in its top 10!

I didn't see Gladiator on the list. I felt very inspired by that film. 2001 Space Odyssey? I was very confused by the ending, not inspired. Sgt. York is greatness as is Glory (my most underrated film). To Kill a Mockingbird rates very highly. Chairots of Fire was awfully low. It won Best Picture.
Braveheart needed to be higher. Most notable omission: The Passion of the Christ.

I also must disgree with some of the selections and placings. Just because a film was made in the last 25 years doesn't mean it can't break the top 50.
Are you kidding me Schindler's list is the only one in the top 10!?!
I'll give them ET.
But I could argue Forrest Gump down to the top 20.
And Braveheart and Good Will Hunting belong somewhere in the top 35.
